Oh, they skated so fast, they were a blur. (not really but Lolly didn't even need to hang onto the wall.)

We (Lauren, Samantha, Leona and I) took the girls skating. This was Lolly's second time. Lolly did great. She is a natural on the skates (just like grandma meyer)

Lauren went bowling for the first time. Tom had his best game ever. It reeally helps having the bumpers in.

This is looking up from our campsite. We stayed below the rim of the campground. The round rock at the top looks like a sad man. Tom thinks I am nuts.

And yes, there really were deer - walking right through the campground.

Lolly liked "her music" (old mcdonald etc) on her headset. So she listened to it a lot.

We all relaxed in different ways. It was really hot in the canyon and taking a nap was a good way to beat the heat.

These signs were all over the area. But we didn't see one single bear - not even Yogi or Booboo.

After camping for 3 days, we felt (and probably looked like) Pigpen from Charlie Brown. So we stayed in a hotel in Grand Junction one night to relax (in air conditioning) and swim our little hearts out.

Lolly spent a lot of time in the pool. She likes to swim.

We finished our vacation in Leadville with some fishing. Didn't catch anything to eat.

Lauren is just hanging out in the front yard of the cabin. We spend most of our summer up here in the peace and quiet.

Last night Lolly and I were in the backyard getting ready to water the lawn. Lolly pointed out some dog poo. So I go the scooper to pick it up and clean up the yard. Lolly told she would help by pointing out the poo I needed to pick up. As we were walking around cleaning the yard, she said

"This is like Easter egg hunting for poo!"

I guess she was right but definitely not as fun.

First Camping Trip for Lolly...

Here is Lolly on her first camping trip. She really had a great time. Her favorite part...eating outside for all her meals. Who knew it would take so little to keep her happy? We were a little worried about Lolly not wanting to use the valut toliet but we had no issues.

We are all looking forward to the next trip... Black Canyon of the Gunnison for 2 nights end of June.

Here is Tom setting up the tent when we arrived at the campgroup. It was early for camping (May 11) but we headed down south where it was a little warmer. We only shared the campground with 3 other tents. The campground was on the South Platte River. It was very peaceful.

The weather has been good lately. We spent an afternoon at the park. Here is Lolly giving me a smile as she climbs up to take another trip down the slide.

Here are the girls in the class practicing. Everyone seems to have a great time in the class. Lolly is really enjoying being there.

Fun at the Park!

Here is Lauren and Tom playing soccer on one of the first nice evenings this spring. That is great part of Colorado - evenings are beautiful.

Easter in Colorado... Snow!

We went and collected easter eggs at church but Easter Sunday was snowy. Lauren is an easter egg finding fiend! If you are not careful, she will elbow you and knock you down to get an egg.

Casa Bonita...

Lolly wanted to go to Casa Bonita for her birthday on Monday the 26th. We had a good time.

The Mariachi Band came over and sang Happy Birthday to Laurie (apparently they didn't hear me too well). Lolly decided to keep
eating during the performance

(Embarassment? Hunger?). Then she got to hit a Piñata. We had a fun
time.

I recently developed the last of the film (BC Digital). And there were pictures from the Blizzard 2006 before Christmas. Thought I would post them. These pictures are from the second day of the storm. Both pictures are of the deck out back. This much snow was everywhere.

Growing up fast...Turned 4

She is finally 4 and Tom and I feel old. She is growing up so fast. We just went to her yearly check-up over the weekend. She is 42 inches tall and 37 pounds (Tall for age, average for weight). I guess she might make a great Ballerina.

We didn't do much for her Birthday. She wanted a party with friends but mom and dad didn't get moving fast enough on it. She was in luck - a Barbie cake and she got a new bicycle for her birthday. I think she had a good time.

Lauren has decided that she wants to take dance classes so we have started Ballet classes. She is the most excited child in the class. First to raise her hand to show off what she has learned. She is the most excited of all the girls in the class. She even has been practicing at home during the week. Our life is all about dancing...

So this weekend we headed to the mountains and this is the snow. This is after Tom scooped a path. Little Lauren could be buried.

Swim like a fish

Still playing with the new camera and took some pictures of Lolly last night at her lesson. She has been doing very well. Class starts again next week - this is our fifth time as a PIKE. Oh, well, she is having fun. To be able to move up we have to be able to swim 5 feet without any flotation device, so it might take a little while.

Lolly wanted to take pictures with the new camera last night so I assisted. She placed her stuffed animals in different positions and took picutres of them. This is Puppy and Erica (her valentine dog) posing for the camera. Also, she shot them individually as well.

Oh Looky! We finally moved into the 21st Century!

We finally have taken the step and got a digital camera. Here is my first picutre! Now you will have to check back more often as I will be posting a lot more. (Before I had to develop the film and wait).
